About

I am just an average guy in his twenties, who only just woke up and realized the following: “Not everybody lives, but everybody dies”. When I saw a YouTube video with the same title something hit me. The first 20% of my life I have just been following the flow. Being a zombie and just following the herd.

Since than I have been struggling to get more control, I have been trying different strategies, reading on who other did it and where to go next. During this phase I first realised I have some traits that just don’t work. I procrastinate, I am afraid to get out of my comfort zone and have the backbone of a banana, who hasn’t, at least I know.

Another thing I figured for myself, I can’t handle freedom, maybe it’s the lack of backbone or discipline or the lack of authority. But in school angry teachers, pissed off parents and deadlines were my best motivators. Needless to say that the first year of university didn’t really work out. My solution was a bullet journal, the idea that you make it yourself made it a perfect fit. The first journal was called NELBED (Not everybody lives….)

NELBED worked like a charm during collage, it gave me the opportunity to plan for more than a week ahead, kept me accountable for my tasks and kept the crap out of my head and on paper. But now I am at a different stage of my life, I am working full time for a great company. But I need to expand the horizon, I need to be able to plan further and I need answers to questions I have never asked before. Stupid managers, how to know what you are worth and how do taxes even work?

The following blogs will be about me figuring the best new system to keep my life on track and look further and further in the future. What is in it for me, another place that keeps me responsible for my actions, a way put myself out there and the off chance to meet like-mined people the discus what works.
